Day #3 was a multi-event day, with a coinciding "Birthday Celebration" for Conner and Amber, who share a May 7th birthday. As a surprise for the two, Mrs. Rizzo generously arranged for a birthday party at Raging Waters today. All enjoyed a birthday BBQ lunch of hamburgers and hotdogs, applesauce, chips, and an unlimited supply of water (get it?), and soda. The "cake" was also provided, as a giant chocolate chip cookie.
Mr. and Mrs. Rizzo provided passes for the day, as well as lunch for everyone. It was a wonderful treat, and greatly appreciated!
The day was a nice change-of-pace as students and chaperones alike enjoyed a beautiful day in the sun. The kids even took advantage of a "Wipeout" style course (*See the ABC television show), and challenged one another to some friendly games. Additionally, the "Endless Lagoon", "Wave Pool", "Shotgun", "Bombs Away", "Barracuda", and several other rides were a fun way to spend the day together.
Well, it is now 9:10am and we have 8 of 8 students who are still LIGHTS OUT, and have missed our 9:00am "Blogging Session". Exhaustion has set in, and we're going to let them sleep a bit longer. Our departure time may get pushed back an hour or so, but the kids need their rest. More to come as the kiddies roll out of bed and we get them moving.
Yesterday was awesome. My favorite thing at raging waters was bombs away which the rest of the eighth graders were to afraid to do.you step on a platform and they remove the platform and you drop.also I finished my new favorite book. The pool at the hotel was fun, I do the crab best.plus I bought my sisters a surprise.
Good morning all. Rest assured all eight eighth graders are in this room having breakfast, of champions. These kids are absolutely awesome. A decorative ice cream contest already this morning.
Many days of fun, adventure, education, and friendship. This is such a close knit great group of kids.
Thank you to all who helped them get here both educationally and with this trip. Truly a memorable experience for all.
Yesterday was very wet! We went to "Raging Waters" in San Jose. It was really fun!
We started out going in the lazy rive. Then we went to these rides that have three different rides. You ride them down with tubes and its really fun!
We also went on the shot gun which you go down and get shot out! You then go plunging into 10 feet of water! That was so fun though I was scared!
The wave pool was really fun! The funny part about is was; When Emily Smith tries to swim during the waves she can't. It made me laugh so hard!
The Baracuda was so much fun! Even though i got so much water in my face! It was very wet!
When we left raging waters we went to the pool. Then went to Mckenzie's, Lili's, and Emily Smiths room for lazagna and ice cream. we then headed to our hotel room and went to bed.

*TRIP UPDATE FOR MOMS & DADS...
We're getting the last of the suitcases loaded into the van, and should be on the road by 11:30. That should put us in Williams for lunch around 2:00pm or so, and an ETA into Redding for our movie between 5pm and 6pm. We're going "low key" today, and have the flexibility to change some things. If things do change, you can expect phone calls this afternoon with updates and a revised ETA.
We are in no rush. However, we would like to get the kids home to BSE around 9:30pm so that they can get a good night's sleep. They do have their Yreka High School campus tour in the morning (kids need to be on campus, lunches packed & in-hand, ready to depart by 8:00am. We need to be there before 8:45am.
As usual, please contact my cell phone @ (530) 514-8356 if you have any questions or need an update from your child. If we are driving, I will let the call go to Voice Mail, and you will receive a return call at the next stop.
Yesterday was pretty cool! I definitely got my tan on! It was pretty cool and I had a lot of fun.
